Home Server
The Start
I recently embarked on a new project to start a home server to practice my networking theory and increase my knowledge about networking. To achieve this goal, I have created a local home storage that I have bought a domain name to use anywhere. Additionally, I have set up a media server that allows me to watch all of my favorite movies. This project has been a great opportunity for me to delve deeper into the world of networking and expand my skillset in this area. I am excited to see where this project takes me and what new knowledge and experience I will gain along the way.
The Present
I am currently focused on expanding my network and upgrading my home setup. I want to connect all of the devices in my home via Ethernet to improve connectivity and reliability. I also plan to expand my storage size by adding redundant drives for backup purposes. To increase security, I am considering creating a home VPN to protect my online activity. Additionally, I would like to set up a 24/7 server for games that I can lease to other gamers. These upgrades will help me create a more robust and secure home network that will meet my needs for both work and play.
